Academic Advisement

The Academic Advisers are here to help students find what major is best for them. They will also help you along your way to graduation to make sure you meet all the requirements. If you have questions or need help finding your adviser visit their website.

Academic Performance Center

The Academic Performance Center provides tutoring for a variety of subjects. The tutoring center offers tutoring sessions online, allowing you to still get the help you need from home. You do have to schedule ahead of time. Visit their website for more information on when sessions are offered or to book an appointment.

Booth Wellness Center

The Booth Wellness Center provides acute medical care, mental health counseling, first aid, immunizations, physicals needed for academic programs, sexual health care, Community referrals and more. There is a nominal charge for lab work and prescriptions, but otherwise services are free to currently enrolled students.

Campus Store

The campus store is open Monday- Thursday from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday 7:45 am to 5 pm. They can help you get all the supplies you will need for your classes plus some Dixie attire for you and your family. Don’t miss the Dixie attire they have available for your family from infants to grandparents. Check out their website or stop by the store located on second floor of the Gardner.

Career Services

The Career Services recognize the importance of being ready to enter the work field after graduation and they are here to help you prepare. They can help with writing a resume, job exploration, building an online profile, and they can help you get an internship or set up job shadowing. You can set up an appointment with a career adviser on Handshake.

Dean of Students

Dixie States Dean of Students is Del Beatty, he is your advocate here on campus. He can help you find resources or help you resolve problems you face while a student at Dixie State. He loves to meet students so feel free to stop by his office and introduce yourself.

Dixie Serves strives to connect the community and university with meaningful volunteer opportunities on and off campus. They invite all to join them as they embrace the spirit of volunteerism in Utah’s Dixie. Check out their website to find volunteer opportunities coming up.

Disability Resource Center

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is responsible for evaluating disability documentation, determining eligibility, and implementing reasonable accommodations for students who have disabilities that may affect their academic success.

Dixie State University Student Association works hard to connect students to campus through weekly events. Watch for information on their weekly events and follow them on Instagram @thedixielife. They also have Academic Senators for each major who can help student get funding for projects or experience that will benefit their education.

Help Desk

We realize that technology can be a vital tool in your education. The Help Desk can provide assistance for Canvas, Student Email, Student Services, Trailblazers wireless configuration, laptop assistance, and any other technical troubleshooting you may need help with. They can also help you if you are having trouble with your login and can reset you password when needed.

LGBTQ+ Resource Center

The Resource Center supports DSU’s LGBTQ+ students, staff, and faculty, as well as educates the campus’s straight and cis community on how to be fully inclusive and welcoming of LGBTQ+ identities.
